An apple just for you!

Hi Everyone,

Today I'm sharing Apple from the new Darling Divas release from High Hopes.  I prefer to work with bright colours when I get the chance to colour but I really wanted to use some patterned paper from my stash and it was a little bland.  So I went for the orange and yellow to help spruce up the look of the paper.  The die is an oldie from my stash.

Birthday Wishes from Kovu

I finally had the chance to do some colouring and boy oh boy did it feel great to get back at it.  This cutie is called Kovu's Birthday from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I seem to rarely get the opportunity to use blue when I'm creating a card.  I don't think blue is one of my go to colour choices but I sure do like how this little cutie turned out....I think I will be picking blues a little more often now.

KovusbirthdaylorawmI coloured this one up with Prisma pencils & the background blues I created with Memento Summer Sky and a finger dauber.  I used Novu Drops to make all the pearls and let overnight.  The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Birthday Wishes".  It's hard to see in the picture but i added some Glossy Accents to Kovu's nose and the cherry on the cupcake.

Just a note if you are US or International you can grab these images over on the High Hopes Website.  Kovu's Birthday is HERE & Birthday Wishes is HERE

Wishing you a wonderful day filled with happiness & creativity!

Love Birds

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Today I'm sharing an adorable new image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps called Love Birds.  I wanted to do a little something that looked different so I colored this pair of little birds up on Kraft cardstock.  I used Copic's of course but I added a bunch of shading with my Prisma pencils as well.  I played along with the January OCS Challenge Sketch with a couple of my own modifications.  You can find the OCS Challenge HERE

LovebirdsloralargeThis is the 2nd card I have done on Kraft and I have found that when using my Copics it is best to test the color first.  Some colors dry darker some much lighter than you might think.  So I started to create my own little index card system.  I will add to this each time I want to play with a new color combo.  I am using American Craft cardstock and that is what my index cards are made from.  Each brand of cardstock will react differently to the marker so it is a great idea to find a brand you like and work with that.  This is my index system, at least for now.

Copics I used for this card...

Heart Leaves - BG72, BG71 (I made this color with BG78 & BG72) with Peacock Blue Prisma

Scroll - BG72, BG10 with Aquamarine & Light Aqua Primsa

Left Bird - E97, E95, E93 with Pumpkin Orange Prisma

Right Bird - E41, E42, E43 with Light Umber Prisma

Shading around birds - Yellow Ochre Primsa

Background Shading - Light Aqua Prisma

You can't tell from the picture but I did add a bunch of sparkle to the scroll and leaves with Clear Wink of Stella.

If you are looking to grab this adorable image you can find it HERE at OCS or HERE at High Hopes.

Have a wonderful day!

Today I`m sharing a little cutie called Friends Snooze from High Hopes.  I was going for something soft and bold all at the same time if that makes sense.  All the colouring was completed with Copic but on the bear I did some shading with Black Prisma.  I thought it would give him a bit of a softer look.

Meet Lana and Leo

Happy New Year everyone!

I'm excited to get 2017 started with a couple of new cards showcasing a new image from the Live, Love Laugh Collection over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  This adorable image is called Lana and Leo.

I also used the January Sketch Challenge from High Hopes for both of these cards.

I gave colouring on Kraft a whirl on one of the cards, it was fun to see how Copic works on a different cardstock.  If you want to give this a try I suggest you play with your markers on a scrap of Kraft to see how each colour looks before you work on your image.  I found that the colours look lighter on Kraft than they do on Xpress It.  Each brand of Kraft will look different, I'm using American Craft on my card.

Copics I used on Kraft cardstock....

Lana Greens - G40, G43, G43

Yellow - YR24, YR23, Y35

Leo Greens - YG67, YG63

Yellow - YR27, YR23, YR24

Ground - G40, G43

Sky - B000, B00

Copic's I used on Xpress It cardstock....

Lana Greens - G40, G43, G43

Yellows - YR23, Y35, Y32

Leo Greens - YG67, YG63, G43

Yellows - YR27, YR24, YR23

Let's Sing A Song....

Happy Monday,

I'm back today to share an adorable new image from High Hopes Stamps called Singing Crazy Birds.  I had blue and red on the mind when I sat down to colour this cutie, can you tell?  This is one of my personal favourites from this months High Hopes release I think because it speaks happiness to me.

Typically I like to colour my backgrounds with a B0000 or a BG0000 bus this time I changed it up and went with a combo of R0000, R000 & R01.  I like the effect it produced for this card.  I decided to make this one into a Christmas card but I can see myself using this image for more cards over the Winter months for other occasions.

Blue's - B34, B37, B39

Jingle Jangle from High Hopes Stamps

Hello Everyone,

It's been a long time since my last post I know.  I started this card way back in October and just finished it over the weekend.  It's sad when work and other things get in the way of ones crafting lol.  I was able to have a little getaway with friends this past weekend and I managed to get a few cards done.  So that means I will have more to share over the coming days.

Some might not be aware besides owning and operating One Crazy Stamper I also own High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I love to scrapbook, especially for my children but I also love to rubber stamp and colour.  I include a lot of rubber stamping in my scrapbooking just so I can feed both passions at one time.  I enjoy have the ability to work with our Designer to create stamps that are timeless.  As 2017 gets closer I have started to think of things that I want to make more time for in the New Year...of course my kids are at the top of the list I also want to make more time for my passion and that's crafting.

Each year I make a batch of cards for my Mom.  Mom gives them to her friends and nurses at the hospital she goes to 4 times a week for dialysis and this will be one of them.  This image is part of the Fall/Winter Release from High Hopes Stamps and it's called "Jingle Jangle".  I paired it with the sentiment from the Woodland Friends Release called "Friends Are For".  On the inside I used "Sparkle & Cheer" from the Fall/Winter Release.  You can purchase these stamps from either High Hopes Stamps the releases HERE & HERE or One Crazy Stamper.  On the High Hopes website you have a choice of unmounted or EZ mounted.  On the OCS site you can only purchase unmounted.

Our High Hopes Designer Dina Gerner created the lovely papers I worked with on this card.  You can find them HERE
